Buick GL8, a joint venture between SAIC and GM, has been in production since 1999. On April 16th, it was announced that the popular and best-selling minivan would be introduced as a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) and hybrid version, with an official launch scheduled for April 27th. This development, which has been confirmed by its inclusion in the latest production catalog of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), has generated significant interest among consumers.
