The Avatr 07 will be the third vehicle to join the Avatr line-up. As the Avatr rep informed us, the Avatr 07 is expected to launch in June/ July of this year with a starting price north of 209,000 yuan (28,800 USD). It rivals the Tesla Model Y, BYD Sea Lion 07, and Onvo L60.

The Avatr 07 maintains the design elements seen in the Avatr 11 and 12, showcasing two-tier LED running lights at the front and headlights seamlessly incorporated into the bumper. The rear of the car features long strip lights, an enlarged rear windshield, and a rear wing with a high-mounted brake light.

Measured at 4825/1980/1620 mm with a wheelbase of 2940 mm, the Avatr 07 will be a mid-sized SUV offered in BEV and EREV versions. It is formerly known by the codename “Avatr 15.”

The Avatr 07 BEV 4WD variant features two electric motors. Unlike its siblings, which use Huawei e-motors, the Avatr 07 will use a rear motor from Deepal and a front motor from Chongqing Tsingshan Industrial, with peak powers of 188 kW and 252 kW, respectively. Together, they provide a total power of 440 kW to the vehicle—an LFP pack from CATL powers these motors. The car can reach a top speed of 200 km/h.

The Avatar 07 extended range version is equipped with a 1.5-liter engine manufactured by Changan, delivering a peak power of 115 kW. The single-motor model has a maximum motor power of 231 kW, and the dual-motor model has a maximum motor power of 131/231 kW, respectively, with a combined power of up to 362 kW. A 39-kWh LFP battery powers both. The vehicle offers an electric range of 188 km and a top speed of 190 km/h.

Avatr was established in 2018 by collaborating with Changan New Energy and Nio. Following Nio’s exit, CATL took over, holding a 17% stake in the company. Changan retains a 40% ownership share, and Huawei is a key supplier. Avatr’s lineup includes the Avatr 11 SUV and the Avatr 12 hatchback.

The automotive sales industry in China has experienced significant challenges in recent years. Avatr aims to expand its sales network to 470 points this year, combining direct and dealership channels. This transition upgrades the sales network and lays a strong foundation for future competition. By doing so, Avatr can alleviate financial pressure, allowing it to allocate more resources to research and development, as well as marketing efforts.
