The GAC-Toyota bZ3X all-electric SUV is set to launch on March 3rd in China, available in three trims, namely, 430 Air+, 520 Pro+, and 620 Max. The pre-sale already opened in December last year with a price range of 100,000 – 200,000 yuan (13,800 – 27,500 USD).

Consumers can choose from seven exterior paints: two shades of white, gray, silver, black, pink, and gold. Positioned as a compact SUV, the GAC-Toyota bZ3X has a length, width, and height of 4600/1875/1645 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2765 mm.

One highlight of the car is its Momenta 5.0 advanced driving assistance system (ADAS), powered by an NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin X chip and realized via 27 sensors, including 11 high-definition cameras, 12 ultrasonic radars, three millimeter-wave radars, and a lidar. The ADAS does not rely on a map and supports 25 capabilities, including a pre-collision system, blind spot monitoring, remote parking, an emergency driving stop system, traffic light assist, lane departure assist, and lane change assist.

Power comes from a front electric motor (model TZ175XSAY501) with a maximum power of 150 kW (201 hp). The lithium iron phosphate battery packs are available in three capacities: 50.03 kWh, 58 kWh, and 67.9 kWh, which correspond to a CLTC cruising range of 430 km, 520 km, and 610 km, respectively. Under fast charging, it takes 24 minutes to replenish the battery from 30% to 80%. Slow charging takes 10 hours.

Coming inside, the interior is available in three color schemes: beige, black, and orange. The cockpit features a layered dashboard that hosts a dual-color multi-function steering wheel, an 8.8-inch LCD instrument panel, and a 14.6-inch floating central control screen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, supporting voice recognition and OTA updates.

Other configurations include 32-color ambient lights, seven airbags, 11 Yamaha speakers, mobile phone wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, and a foldable rear armrest for the back seats.

In 2024, the GAC-Toyota joint venture sold 770,100 vehicles, down 14.5% from 901,000 vehicles in 2023. Among its models, the sales of smart plug-in hybrid models have increased, accounting for 48% of the total sales. In 2025, the joint venture plans to launch the bZ3X and unveil the bZ7 all-electric sedan to boost sales in China.
