The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra has set a lap time of 1:26.741 seconds at the Chengdu Tianfu Circuit in China, making it the fastest four-door production car on the track. This time surpasses the 1:34.905 lap posted by a BMW M3, though the M3’s modifications are unclear.

The vehicle used for the record lap featured a prototype-style front hood vent, which may be offered as an optional component. Xiaomi has stated that the SU7 Ultra will undergo further track tests across China.

The car is equipped with a triple-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 1,548 horsepower, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.98 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 9.23 seconds. The SU7 Ultra has a claimed top speed exceeding 350 km/h. It also supports a 5.2C maximum charging rate, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in 11 minutes.

The SU7 Ultra features a high-saturation yellow paint job with silver racing stripes, blacked-out aerodynamic components, and a carbon fiber roof. Xiaomi states that the car incorporates 17 carbon fiber components and an aerodynamic kit capable of generating 285 kg of downforce. The interior has a black-and-yellow theme with carbon fiber and Alcantara materials, sport seats, and a redesigned steering wheel.

The car’s infotainment system runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip. It includes three simulated engine sound profiles and a “Track Master” function. The vehicle is also equipped with Xiaomi Pilot, an advanced driver-assistance system utilizing two Orin X chips with a combined computing power of 508 TOPS.

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is scheduled for release in March 2024. Its pre-sale price is 814,900 yuan (approximately 111,550 USD). Pre-orders require a 10,000 yuan refundable deposit, and Xiaomi has set an annual sales target of 10,000 units. The SU7 Ultra is available for viewing in 112 stores across 42 cities in China.
