Chery’s Exeed VX C-DM plug-in hybrid three-row SUV with 610 hp and up to 1,300 km of mixed range started pre-sales in China with a starting price of 239,900 yuan (33,085 USD). After the domestic market debut, this vehicle will hit overseas markets.
The Exeed VX C-DM made an international debut in Saudi Arabia on February 23. At the same time, this SUV started presales in China under the Exeed Lanyue C-DM name. This model will soon enter the Middle Kingdom to strengthen Chery Group’s NEV sales.

The Exeed VX C-DM is a large crossover with dimensions of 5010/1940/1800 mm with a wheelbase of 2900 mm. Its front end adopts a sizeable grille. From the back, this SUV adopts two vertically aligned taillights joined by a thin LED strip. The Exeed VX C-DM adopts a lot of chrome trim around the body. Due to a flat roofline and a comparatively low beltline, this crossover looks similar to a wagon.
The Exeed VX’s interior adopts six- and seven-seat variants. This SUV’s center console reminds us of the MBUX Hyperscreen. It is a large block of three screens. Two of those monitors have a diameter of 12.3 inches. And the main screen boasts a diameter of 15.6 inches. The six-seat variant of the Exeed VX C-DM has two captain chairs with heating, ventilation, and massage functions in the second row.
Under the hood, the Exeed VX C-DM has a 1.5-liter turbocharged ICE for 115 kW. It is paired with a three-speed DHT gearbox, which integrates a 165 kW e-motor. The second electric motor sits in the rear axle of the Exeed VX C-DM. Its peak power is 175 kW. As a result, the combined peak power of the Exeed VX C-DM reaches 455 kW (610 hp) and 920 Nm. This large SUV speeds up to 100 km/h in 5 seconds.
The Exeed VX C-DM has a CATL-made ternary NMC battery for 180 km of CLTC range in electric mode. Thanks to a 70-liter fuel tank, the mixed range of the VX C-DM is 1,300 km. With a drained battery, the Exeed VX C-DM has a fuel consumption rate of 6.88 liters per 100 km.

The Chery’s Exeed VX C-DM has a starting price of 239,900 yuan (33,085 USD). The entry-level car adopts a Lion Melody sound system for 23 speakers, LED headlights, two-layer front windows, heated, and ventilated front seats.
The second trim level of the Exeed VX C-DM costs 259,900 yuan (35,850 USD). This trim level has more airbags, heated and ventilated second-row seats, two-layer rear windows, and an advanced air purification system.
The Exeed VX C-DM made its global debut in Saudi Arabia, one of the most Exeed-friendly markets. It seems that the VX C-DM SUV can enter this country soon after the sales start in China.
