The 2025 Leapmotor C10 electric vehicle has been revealed in the latest MIIT filings, showcasing a notable performance enhancement. The updated model will feature a new drive motor delivering a maximum power output of 220 kW (295 hp), marking a substantial 50 kW (67 hp) increase over the current model’s 170 kW (228 hp).

While maintaining largely the same exterior design, this power boost represents the most significant upgrade to the vehicle. For context, the current Leapmotor C10 EV is marketed in China at prices ranging from 128,800 to 168,800 yuan (17,900 to 23,445 USD).

The 2025 model preserves distinctive styling elements, including the closed-off front fascia with an integrated light bar, flush door handles, multi-spoke aluminum alloy wheels, and a full-width taillight design. The roof-mounted spoiler remains, and customers can choose between 18-inch or 20-inch wheels.

The C10 EV’s interior will continue to offer a smart driving version equipped with lidar technology. This advanced variant features a comprehensive sensor array of 12 cameras, 5 millimeter-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars. Whether the vehicle’s infotainment system will receive updates remains unclear. The current smart driving version utilizes an Nvidia Orin X chip with 254 TOPS of computing power, supporting both urban and highway navigation-assisted pilot (NAP) functionality.

2024 C10

The 2025 Leapmotor C10 EV measures 4739/1900/1680mm dimensionally and has a wheelbase of 2825mm.

Leapmotor has become the third Chinese NEV startup to achieve profitability at scale after Li Auto and Aito. The C10 was launched in March 2024; according to China EV DataTracker, it sold 8054 units in February 2024.

As reported by Reuters, Leapmotor has already begun selling two electric vehicle models through Stellantis dealerships in the United Kingdom as part of their joint venture. The C10 and the compact T03 electric car are now available, with the B10 midsize SUV scheduled to launch later this year.

In October 2023, Stellantis acquired a 21% stake in Leapmotor. Their joint venture, 51% controlled by Stellantis, grants the global automotive group exclusive rights to export, sell, and manufacture Leapmotor EVs outside Greater China.
