The BYD Sealion 07 DM large plug-in hybrid crossover officially revealed interior in China. It will enter the local market with an estimated price range between 200,000 – 250,000 yuan (27,450 – 34,350 USD). The new model adopts a refrigerator, a 15.6-inch floating screen, and the “God’s Eye” C intelligent driving system.
The BYD Sealion 07 DM is a facelift of the BYD Tang-based Frigate 07 crossover launched in 2022. The cumulative sales of this model reached 79,830 units from December 2022 to February 2025. To boost the volume of this model, BYD prepared to relaunch the Frigate 07 as the Sealion 07 DM with a redesigned exterior. This model applied for the sales license in December 2024. Now, it has officially revealed its interior.

The BYD Sealion 07 DM cabin adopts the brand’s latest design language. Its center console adopts a floating rotatable 15.6-inch screen and a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel. The gear shifter of the Sealion 07 DM sits behind the four-spoke steering wheel with a flat bottom and a BYD logo. The car’s center tunnel adopts a wireless charging pad, two cup holders, and a built-in storage box with cooling and heating functions.
The BYD Sealion 07 DM adopts a five-seat layout with a single bench in the second row. The car also integrates a large panoramic sunroof. The front seats of the large SUV have a sporty profile with integrated headrests. Both front and rear seats support ventilation and heating functions. The front chairs offer a massage function.
Another highlight of the BYD Sealion 07 DM is the “God’s Eye” C (DiPilot 100) intelligent driving system. It includes 12 cameras, 5 mm-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars. Those 12 cameras consist of 3 front-view cameras, 5 panoramic cameras, and 4 surround-view cameras. Five mm-wave radars provide 360-degree non-dead angle perception, the front radar has a detection distance of 300 meters. The accuracy of the 12 ultrasonic radar sensors is 1 cm, and the parking accuracy is 2 cm.
Moreover, the BYD Sealion 07 DM will adopt an optional LiDAR sensor on the roof. As a result, this system can realize city navigation, highway navigation, and parking assistance. Compared with the level 2 assisted driving system that can only be activated on highways, this system covers more scenarios, and can autonomously navigate traffic lights, obstacles, and overtake in a city urban environment.

The BYD Sealion 07 DM measures 4880/1920/1750 mm and has a wheelbase of 2820 mm. The car’s curb weight is 2,103 – 2,346 kg.
The car’s powertrain has two options. The entry-level model is equipped with the DM-i system. It comprises a 1.5-liter ICE for 115 kW (154 hp) paired with an electric motor for 200 kW (268 hp). The second variant is the DM-p powertrain. It has the same petrol-powered engine and two electric motors with a peak power of 350 kW (469 hp).
The Sealion 07 DM-p can accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 200 km/h. The BYD Sealion 07 DM uses a single LFP battery option from FinDreams. It has a capacity of 26.6 kWh and a weight of 231 kg. Depending on the powertrain option, the Sealion 07 DM can run 100 – 120 km in electric mode. The fuel consumption of this mid-size SUV with a drained battery lies in 5.5 – 6.6 L/100km range.
