Geely’s premium electric vehicle brand, Zeekr, is set to debut its new flagship 9X SUV at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show. Positioning the model as Zeekr’s most advanced offering in the full-size luxury EV segment, the vehicle will be available in pure electric (BEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variants featuring the new Zeekr Super Hybrid system.

The BEV version will feature a cutting-edge 900V high-voltage architecture capable of ultra-fast charging up to 480kW. Utilizing CATL’s latest battery technology, the system is expected to add approximately 500 km of range in just 10 minutes of charging. The PHEV variant will debut Zeekr’s Super Hybrid technology, combining a high-efficiency 2.0T engine with multiple electric motors in an advanced powertrain that intelligently switches between pure electric, series hybrid and parallel hybrid modes. This system targets a total range of approximately 1,500 km on a full charge and tank of fuel.

The Zeekr 9X is expected to share similarities with the Lynk & Co 900. Its dimensions, measuring 5,290 mm in length and a 3,220 mm wheelbase, the 9X will offer versatile interior configurations. Standard models will accommodate six or seven passengers with sliding and reclining seat functionality, while the premium edition will feature a luxurious four-seat layout with executive-style rear seating. Practical touches include a split tailgate design with an integrated seating platform for outdoor use.

The 9X will showcase Zeekr’s next-generation autonomous driving capabilities, powered by NVIDIA’s new Thor chipset. The advanced system will incorporate camera and LiDAR sensors to enable potential Level 3 driving functions, including urban navigation without reliance on high-definition maps, automated valet parking, and enhanced highway assistance features.

As Zeekr’s new flagship, the 9X will join the brand’s growing luxury portfolio alongside the 009 MPV. Production is expected to begin following its official debut in Shanghai, with final specifications and pricing to be confirmed at the unveiling.
