Nammi is a mainstream brand under Dongfeng focused on manufacturing small electric vehicles. Its current model line comprises three models: Nammi 01, Nammi Box, and Nammi EX1. Despite selling affordable products, Nammi faced slow sales in China. In the first quarter of 2025, this brand sold 9,514 units. On April 28, Nammi kicked off presales of the 06 electric crossover. It aims to rival the BYD Yuan Up in China.

The Nammi 06 boasts a distinguishing front end with T-shaped headlights joined by an LED strip. The car’s front bumper has a relatively compact air intake with horizontally aligned bars.
Positioned as an urban-oriented SUV, the Nammi 06 surprisingly offers sturdy plastic trim around the lower body. The car has wide wheel arches and flush door handles. The rear end of the car is another highlight of the Nammi 06. It has two vertical taillight units with an LED strip between them. This SUV’s tailgate is divided into two parts. Dimensions of the Nammi 06 are 4306/1868/1645 mm with a wheelbase of 2715 mm. For clarity, it is 4 mm shorter, 38 mm wider, and 30 mm higher than the BYD Yuan Up. The Dongfeng’s SUV offers up to 500 liters of trunk space. It rides on 17-inch rims.
The car’s interior adopts a minimalistic styling. Its center console adopts a 12.8-inch main screen and an 8.8-inch thin instrument cluster. Upper trim levels offer heated, ventilated, and massaged seats.

For comparison, the entry-level BYD Yuan Up has a 70 kW (94 hp) electric motor and a 45.12 kWh battery for 401 km. Back to the Nammi 06, it can charge from 30% to 80% in 18 minutes.
The Nammi 06 is available for preorders with five trim levels. The car’s price range is 89,900 – 119,900 yuan (12,320 – 16,435 USD). The mentioned BYD Yuan Up costs 99,800 – 119,800 yuan (13,700 – 16,435 USD) without limited-time discounts applied. The Nammi 06 will start sales in the second quarter of 2025 in China.
