BYD’s off-road-focused brand Fang Cheng Bao revealed the official name of its newest SUV – the FCB Ti7. It is positioned as a family-friendly vehicle that sits between sturdy off-roaders Bao 5 and Bao 8. A shared teaser hints that the FCB Ti7 is close to the official release.
The Fang Cheng Bao (FCB) car brand was launched by BYD in 2023. Its current model line comprises three cars: the Bao 5 (Leopard 5), the Bao 8 (Leopard 8), and the Ti3 (Tai 3, Titanium 3). According to China EV DataTracker, FCB delivered 41,709 cars from January to May 2025 in China. Now, this brand wants to strengthen its market presence by launching a new product, which is the family-oriented Ti7 SUV.
FCB Ti7 name and more
The FCB Ti7 is a part of the so-called Ti-series. It comprises family-friendly crossovers. Previously, this line was known by its Chinese name 钛 (Tai, Titanium). Therefore, we called that crossover Tai 7. On June 12, BYD’s off-road brand revealed the international name of the Tai series. It appeared to be called “Ti” after a symbol from the periodic table.

BYD shares information about the FCB Ti7 in small portions. There is no information about its core specs. However, the new model was spotted in the wild several times. It is a blocky SUV with a storage box on the tailgate and a LiDAR on the roof. The Ti7 adopts fuel door / charging port covers on both rear fenders. We may assume it is a PHEV crossover with the DM-O powertrain.

Previously, the interior of the FCB Ti7 was spotted in China. It adopts a two-row layout with five seats. The center console of this SUV adopts a large floating screen. A gear shifter sits behind a four-spoke steering wheel with a flat bottom. The interior is finished in orange.
There are two points of view on the Tai 7’s pricing. The first group of experts believes this family SUV will cost 300,000 – 350,000 yuan (41,730 – 48,680 USD). Their opponents reckon that the Tai 7 will start below 200,000 yuan (27,820 USD).
