The BYD Fang Cheng Bao Ti7 large plug-in hybrid SUV revealed core specs in China. This five-seat family driver boasts the new DMS system with electric motors for 483 hp, and an electric range of 130 km under CLTC conditions.
The Fang Cheng Bao (FCB) car brand was launched by BYD in 2023. Its current model line comprises three cars: the Bao 5 (Leopard 5), the Bao 8 (Leopard 8), and the Ti3 (Tai 3, Titanium 3). In early June, FCB teased the new car called Ti7 (Tai 7, Titanium 7). It is a family-oriented SUV with a five-seat interior. On June 20, the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) revealed the core specs of this system.
BYD FCB Ti7 specs
Previously, some netizens pointed out that Fang Cheng Bao’s cars resemble the Land Rover Defender. The newest Ti7 isn’t an exception to this rule. Its exterior styling balances clean surfaces with sturdy lines. The car has a high bonnet line, rectangular headlights, large bumpers, and a small grille. This model adopts a LiDAR sensor atop the windshield, roof racks, and a swing-out tailgate with a storage box.


Dimensions of the Ti7 are 4999/1995/1865 mm. The wheelbase reaches 2,920 mm. This SUV sits between the Bao 5 and the Bao 8 in terms of size. The front and rear tracks of the FCB Ti7 are 1,708 mm and 1,713 mm, respectively. Approach and departure angles are 24 and 25 degrees, respectively. The FCB Ti7 rides on R19 or R20 wheels. The curb weight of the Ti7 lies in a 2,230 – 2,480 kg range, depending on the battery.
BYD FCB Ti7 powertrain
The Fang Cheng Bao Ti7 adopts the brand-new DMS plug-in hybrid system. It features a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 115 kW (154 hp) that is paired with two e-motors. The front TZ210XYC electric motor has a peak power of 160 kW (215 hp). The rear TZ200XSBN generates 200 kW (268 hp). It is also available with a single electric motor for 200 kW.

The entry-level FCB Ti7 has a 26.6 kWh LFP battery from the BYD subsidiary FinDreams. It provides 100 – 105 km of electric range. Its fuel consumption is 6.3 liters per 100 km. The top-trim Ti7 has a 35.6 kWh FinDreams-made LFP pack for 130 km. Its fuel capacity is slightly higher at 6.4 L/100km.

For clarity, the BYD FCB Bao 5 off-roader with the DMO plug-in hybrid system has a combined power output of 505 kW (677 hp). It has a single battery option for 31.8 kWh.



Previously, the interior of the FCB Ti7 was spotted in China. It adopts a two-row layout with five seats. The center console of this SUV adopts a large floating screen. A gear shifter sits behind a four-spoke steering wheel with a flat bottom. The interior is finished in orange. The FCB Ti7 will enter the Chinese market this year with a price of around 300,000 yuan (41,730 USD).
