The first car under the Qijing brand from Huawei and Guangzhou-based state-owned GAC automaker was revealed as a sporty NEV wagon with the L3-ready driver assistance system. It will enter the market this year with deliveries scheduled for June 2026.

Qijing (which could be translated as Venue) is a joint brand between GAC and Huawei. Its CEO, Liu Jiaming, was appointed on September 25 this year. This month, the brand’s officials shared that their first car is a wagon (shooting brake). It will enter the domestic market this year. Now, the first Qijing car broke the covers.

The new model was revealed in the latest video shared by the Qijing official Weibo account. In this clip, Huawei Intelligent Automotive Solutions Business Unit (BU) CEO Jin Yuzhi and Qijing CEO Liu Jiaming tested the car’s handling. They also shared that this model adopts the latest ADAS technology from Huawei, which is considered the L3-ready system.

Huawei and Qijing top managers shared that this car’s aesthetics, driving dynamics, and intelligence are comparable to models priced around 1 million yuan (~140K USD). This segment includes such cars as the Maextro S800 and the Yangwang U8 in China. At the same time, the first Qijing model is expected to cost 300,000 yuan (42,680 USD) domestically.

The first Qijing car has a sloped bonnet line, a large active air intake in the bumper, and a LiDAR on the roof. Other features include conventional side-view mirrors, sculpted rear fenders, and 20-inch ten-spoke rims. The new model also adopts streamlined door handles. They comply with the latest requirements of the Chinese regulator.

The new Qijing model has a charging port cover on the left rear fender. This detail hints that the shown car adopts a BEV powertrain. It will likely adopt the high-voltage 800V system capable of fast DC charging. The new model will rival the Zeekr 007 GT and the Nio ET5 Touring.
