The prototype of the Dreame Nebula 01X electric fastback SUV revealed its interior in China. This NEV from the Chinese vacuum cleaner maker has no B-pillars while offering rear-hinged frameless doors and a four-seat layout. The mass-produced variant of the Nebula Next 01X will offer BEV and EREV powertrain variants.
Nebula is an automotive brand under the Dreame vacuum cleaner maker, revealed at CES 2026. Dreame also revealed two other brands called Cosmera and Star Motor. However, their cars made headlines for their strong resemblance to Bugatti, Rolls-Royce, and M-Hero models. Only Nebula-branded concepts looked like unique products.

The Nebula Next 01X fastback crossover was revealed at the 2026 Appliance & Electronics World Expo (AWE). Its exterior styling was fully revealed. However, the brand’s officials didn’t share any details about the cabin. On May 6, more information about the interior was shared by Han Lu, a Weibo automotive influencer with over 9 million subscribers.
Dreame Nebula Next 01X interior
At first glance at the Dreame Nebula Next 01X, we can tell it is a raw prototype that has plenty of work to commence volume production. For starters, the car has no B-pillars. Other Chinese cars like the Zeekr Mix minivan also utilize this feature. However, the mentioned MPV offers hidden B-pillars integrated into the doors, door sills, and roof structure, offering a tensile strength of 2000 MPa.

However, the Dreame Next 01X crossover doesn’t have a similar structure. Moreover, this car adopts power rear-hinged rear doors with door locks positioned in the door sills. These doors adopt a frameless design with no rubber seals. So, we have a bare glass-to-glass closure here. Such a structure results in poor sealing with possible wind and water ingress into the cabin.
Inside, the Next 01X prototype adopts four seats with two independent captain chairs with integrated headrests in the rear. Each seat is electrically powered. There is a center tunnel between the rear seats with an integrated touchscreen. The center console of the Next 01X adopts a floating screen, a three-spoke steering wheel, and a thin LCD instrument cluster. The gear shifter sits on the steering column.

Interestingly, the newly revealed prototype of the Nebula Next 01X differs from the version revealed at the AWE 2026. It has a redesigned front end with an aggressive grille. However, headlights and the overall body shape remained the same.
In a short clip shared online, we can see that the Nebula Next 01X’s displays aren’t working during the driving process. It is another indicator of the car being in the early development stages. All in all, the Next 01X proved to be a raw prototype with questionable design.
More about the Nebula Next 01X
The Nebula Next 01X fastback crossover adopts the Starry Sky “intelligent” chassis with electromagnetic suspension. It reportedly improves cornering stability by 25% and increases grip on wet surfaces by 30%. It will reportedly have a solid-state battery with cells boasting an energy density of 450 Wh/kg.
The all-electric Next 01X will have four e-motors for 1,399 kW (1,876 hp). It’s good for a zero-to-hundred acceleration time of 1.8 seconds. The new model will also be available with an EREV powertrain. This modification will have up to 550 km of range on a single battery charge without turning on the ICE. The car will have a computing power of 2,000 TOPS, capable of L2-assisted driving tech.
Editor’s comment
We have previously highlighted that Dreame makes headlines worldwide by revealing numerous concept cars that partly copy mass-produced vehicles from established car brands and claiming to have cutting-edge technologies that weren’t achieved even by the industry leaders. It looks like this novice automaker acts out of sheer bravado to attract as much attention as possible.

Dreame previously held a meeting with a US top-tier university and unveiled a supercar that was reported to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 0.9 seconds.
The credibility of this company solidified after Sebastian Thrun, professor at Stanford University, attended Dreame’s event and acknowledged its innovation. However, we will remind you that the recently collapsed BeyonCa brand received the ‘Most Valuable Company for Investment of the Year’ award in 2022. We also remember a company that released plenty of concept cars a few years ago: Evergrande. Its automotive plant was already reclaimed by nature and overgrown with grass.
Our point here isn’t to prove that Dreame is untrustworthy. However, we insist that every automaker should be viewed objectively and that the company’s claims and technological base should be supported by evidence.
