Xiaomi SU7 hits 80,000 orders in 48 days, April deliveries exceed 30,000 units
Xiaomi Auto said the updated SU7 sedan has exceeded 80,000 locked orders within 48 days of its March 20 launch, according to company data released May 6. The figure refers to confirmed orders with deposits paid.
The model is offered in three variants priced from 219,900 to 303,900 yuan (32,200–44,500 USD). During May 6–31, buyers are eligible for limited-time purchase incentives and financing programs.
Limited-time incentives
The Standard and Pro variants receive benefits valued at 42,000 yuan (6,150 USD), while the Max variant includes incentives worth 61,000 yuan (8,930 USD). These include features such as zero-gravity seats with massage, additional storage configurations, and Xiaomi’s HAD assisted driving system.
A five-year low-interest financing plan is also offered, with a minimum down payment of 49,900 yuan (7,300 USD) and monthly payments starting from 3,115 yuan (456 USD).
Product and configuration changes
Xiaomi confirmed that several configuration adjustments took effect on May 6. Certain exterior colours, including magenta and black options on lower trims, have been discontinued. The Max variant also loses the previously offered special-edition styling package.
Wheel options have been revised, with 20-inch configurations now restricted to specific trims and paint combinations. Some interior and exterior combinations are no longer available for ordering.
Powertrain and hardware
The SU7 continues with Xiaomi’s V6S Plus motor across all variants. The Standard and Pro models deliver 235 kW, while the Max version uses a dual-motor setup that produces 508 kW.
Battery capacities differ by trim: 73 kWh for Standard, 96.3 kWh for Pro, and 101.7 kWh for Max. Corresponding CLTC ranges are 720 km, 902 km, and 835 km.
The sedan measures 4,997 mm in length with a 3,000 mm wheelbase. Interior hardware includes a 16.1-inch central display, a 7.1-inch rotating instrument panel, and a head-up display. LiDAR and Xiaomi HAD assisted driving are standard across the range.
Data context
According to China EV DataTracker, Xiaomi Auto reported 21,440 domestic sales in March 2026, down 26.7% year-on-year, following 39,002 units in January and 20,414 units in February. Monthly volumes peaked at 50,212 units in December 2025, with market share ranging from 1.3% to 2.5% over the period. Xiaomi also reported deliveries exceeding 30,000 units in April 2026, according to Y-Auto. A new model, the Xiaomi YU7 GT, is scheduled for official launch in late May 2026.
Positioning and recent context
Earlier disclosures from Xiaomi confirm the company does not plan to introduce entry-level EVs below 100,000 yuan (13,800 USD), keeping the SU7 positioned above the budget segment. A public teardown event led by Lei Jun in April also detailed the model’s component integration and cost structure.
