Xiaomi delivers over 215,000 EVs in the first year after launch
Xiaomi announced it delivered over 29,000 electric vehicles in March, making a new monthly record. On March 18, the company announced it delivered its 200,000th car. Xiaomi only sells its EVs in China.
For Xiaomi, this is the sixth consecutive month with deliveries over 20,000 units. The company doesn’t share exact numbers, only vague and rounded data such as “over 29,000” units. The exact numbers are revealed by the Chinese regulator later in the month.
Xiaomi launched its first car on March 28 2024, and deliveries started exactly one year ago on April 1. Xiaomi registered 186,112 EVs in the first 11 months (between April 2024 and March 2025), according to China EV DataTracker.
With over 29,000 units delivered in March, Xiaomi has delivered over 215,112 cars in the first twelve months since launch (April 2024 – March 2025).
Xiaomi has an annual target for 2025, which is set at 350,000 units. In the first quarter, Xiaomi delivered over 75,625 EVs in China.
Beijing-based smartphone giant sells only one car: the Xiaomi SU7 sedan, which starts at 215,900 yuan (29,700 USD). It has three trims – Standard, Pro and Max and a performance version, SU7 Ultra, which was launched in February 2025.
SU7 Ultra packs 1,526 hp and 0-100 km/h acceleration in 1.98 seconds for 529,900 yuan (72,900 USD). It is equipped with a 93.7 kWh ternary battery from CATL, good for a 630 km range under CLTC conditions. The three motors deliver a top speed of 350 km/h. Ultra is Xiaomi’s shot at Porsche and other German premium brands in China.
Xiaomi sells only one model and has only one plant, which is based in Beijing. It has an annual capacity of 150,000 units in the first phase, which was already finished in 2023. Once the second phase is completed, the plant will add another 150,000 units of annual output.
Xiaomi will launch its second car, the YU7 SUV, in July to take on Model Y in China.
