Xpeng chairman revealed the product planning – three models to debut in 2025

Xpeng chairman He Xiaopeng revealed the brand’s product planning for 2025. This year, the company will officially present three vehicles: an electric crossover, an electric sedan, and an EREV SUV. The first car will make an official debut in June.

During the interview, He Xiaopeng said the company will hold three car presentations this year. It is worth noting that Xpeng’s chairman didn’t say that these cars would be launched in China. So, they can make the market entry later.

He Xiaopeng shared that the company will present the Xpeng G7 crossover in June this year. Previously, this model had applied for a sales license in China, revealing specs.

The G7 is a mid-to-large SUV with dimensions of 4892/1925/1655 mm with a wheelbase of 2890 mm. This model has a 218 kW (292 hp) electric motor and two battery options: 68.5 kWh and 80.9 kWh. It is suitable for 577 – 702 km of range under CLTC conditions. CarNewsChina expects this crossover to start at around 200,000 yuan (27,300 USD).

The second model to make an official public debut this year is the new generation Xpeng P7 electric sedan. The company will present it in Q3 2025. He Xiaopeng underlined that this sedan will have a price of around 300,000 yuan (41,650 USD). This model also has a new design language and Xpeng’s next-gen Turing AI chip.

In Q4 2025, Xpeng will present its first EREV crossover, codenamed G01. This model was previously spotted in China during road tests. It will adopt the Xpeng Kunpeng Super Electric System. This technology has up to 430 km of electric range, and a 10-80% charging time of 12 minutes. The Xpeng G01 offers an 800V battery pack with 5C charging technology. Previously, it was expected that the Xpeng G01 would have a price tag of around 400,000 yuan (54,700 USD).

The Xpeng current model line comprises six models: the G6 SUV-coupe, the G9 crossover, the P7i sedan, the P7+ sedan, the Mona M03 sedan, and the X9 minivan. Xpeng delivered 117,738 units from January to April 2025, according to China EV DataTracker. It is a 277,2% year-over-year increase.
