GAC Aion has officially launched the 2025 Aion Y Plus, introducing a refreshed model with subtle upgrades to its exterior and interior, alongside a more advanced vehicle system. The new lineup consists of four models, with prices ranging from 99,800 to 123,800 yuan (13,760 to 17,070 USD).
One of the notable exterior changes is the redesigned taillight cluster, which now integrates the brand’s logo in a luminous style at its centre. The vehicle maintains its spacious dimensions, measuring 4535mm in length, 1870mm in width, and 1650mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2750mm, consistent with the previous model.
The vehicle’s infotainment system has received a UI upgrade, enhancing the user experience. It now supports Carlink/Hicar interconnection, allowing for seamless smartphone integration. Additionally, the navigation system includes a traffic light countdown feature, a practical addition for urban driving. Comfort has also been prioritised, with the new model supporting full flat folding of both front and rear seats, and the main driver’s seat is equipped with ventilation and heating functions.
In terms of driving assistance, the 2025 Aion Y Plus comes with features such as automatic following and adaptive cruise functions, contributing to a more relaxed driving experience. Exterior rearview mirrors that support automatic folding and heating functions further enhance convenience.
Under the hood, the new Aion Y Plus is powered by a single electric motor. It offers two distinct power options, 100kW and 150kW, to cater to different performance needs.
GAC Aion Y Plus offers a range of purchase benefits to sweeten the deal for prospective buyers. These include a battery warranty, a replacement subsidy of up to 26,000 yuan, a 5,000 yuan insurance discount, zero down payment options, and one year of free in-car entertainment data.
The 2025 Aion Y Plus is poised to continue its strong performance in the electric vehicle market, offering a compelling design, technology, and value package.
