Created by former Rolls-Royce design chief, Roewe M7 DMH sedan revealed in official images
On June 16, SAIC’s Roewe brand released the official images of its M7 DMH plug-in hybrid sedan, which is the mass-produced version of the “Pearl” concept car that appeared at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show in April. The car is expected to launch in the second half of this year.

It is worth pointing out that the “Pearl” concept car is inspired by the Forbidden City and the Oriental Pearl Tower in China, according to the official.

Positioned as a medium-to-large sedan, the Roewe M7 DMH has a length, width, and height of 4940/1890/1510 mm, and the wheelbase is 2820 mm. The curb weight is 1670 kg.
Power comes from SAIC’s fifth-generation DMH hybrid system, which consists of a 1.5L engine with a thermal efficiency of 43% and an electric motor. The engine has a maximum power of 82 kW (110 hp) and a peak torque of 135 Nm while the motor has a maximum power of 137 kW (184 hp) and a peak torque of 330 Nm. The CLTC pure electric and comprehensive ranges are expected to reach 150 km and 1,000 km, respectively. At this time, the detailed capacity info of the lithium iron phosphate battery packs has not been revealed.

In the front, the Roewe M7 DMH adopts a large vertical chrome grille design that incorporates the small ROEWE letter logo, paired with slender headlights and a chrome-decorated bumper, continuing the “Pearl” concept car’s iconic waterfall design. The rear features a through-type LED taillight group, hidden exhaust outlets, a chrome-decorated bumper that echoes the front, and a duck tail.

From the side, conventional door handles are retained, combined with chrome-decorated side skirts, window frames, and multi-spoke rims. The interior has also not been revealed at this time. We’ll watch for more info.
As the first mass-produced model design by Josef Kabaň, former Head of Design at Rolls-Royce, after joining SAIC, according to the official, what do you think of the M7 DMH’s design?
