Changan‘s Deepal brand is launching its new S07 mid-size SUV on September 17th. The model has already opened pre-sales with prices ranging from 156,900 to 173,900 yuan (21,800 to 24,200 USD), CarNewsChina estimates the launching price would be below 145,000 yuan (20,000 USD).
The vehicle’s profile has optimised wheel styles, a two-tone body, and black accents on the door handles, side skirts, and rearview mirrors. At the rear, the S07 features a refined bumper, through-type taillights, and a styled rear spoiler. Customers will have a choice of five exterior paint colours.
The Deepal S07 measures 4750mm in length, 1930mm in width, and 1625mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2900mm. The front row features double-layer soundproof glass, while the rear row uses privacy windows.
Inside, the S07 elevates its ambience with new “Floating Light Rhythm” ambient lighting and “Starlight Rhythm” central console ambient lighting. Interior trim has been adjusted, and a new “Twilight Purple” colour option has been introduced. The doors have been reinforced to accommodate additional audio speakers, and the vehicle now features traditional mechanical door handles.
The cabin is centred around a 15.6-inch 2.5K high-definition central control screen and a 55-inch AR-HUD augmented reality system. The infotainment system is powered by Qualcomm’s 3rd-generation digital cockpit platform, with all models featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P cockpit chip. Rear passengers benefit from a 4.2-inch functional screen. The entire vehicle is equipped with a 20-speaker Dolby audio system.
The vehicle is integrated with the Huawei Qiankun ADS SE assisted driving system. This suite includes High-speed Navigation Cruise Assist (NCA), Urban LCC Plus, and Intelligent Parking Assist.
- High-speed Navigation Cruise Assist (NCA): Provides intelligent assisted driving on national highways, urban expressways, and ring roads, featuring smart lane changes, obstacle avoidance, cornering, speed adjustment, and on/off-ramp navigation.
- Urban LCC Plus: Supports lane cruising assist, lever-activated lane changes, traffic light control, and urban lane change assist.
- Intelligent Parking Assist: Supporting over 160 parking scenarios and multiple parking methods and angles, including off-vehicle parking and memory parking.
The Deepal S07 offers both pure electric and extended-range electric powertrains.
- EREV Variant: Features a 1.5L range extender producing 98 hp. Electric motor options include a maximum power of 258 hp or 272 hp. CLTC’s pure electric range is either 230km or 300km, with a maximum combined range of up to 1320km.
- EV Variant: Equipped with an electric motor delivering a maximum power of 272 hp, offering a CLTC range of 550km.
