BYD’s 5.26-metre 2026 Denza N9 plug-in hybrid SUV officially launched with starting price of 54,200 USD
The 2026 Denza N9 from BYD‘s premium brand Denza was officially launched on the evening of September 17, 2025, offering three configuration options with official pricing ranging from 389,800 to 449,800 yuan (54,200 to 62,500 USD). The new model introduces a green-silver exterior colour option featuring a two-tone body design, similar to the previously added purple-gold finish.
As a large plug-in hybrid SUV, the Denza N9 boasts specifications including a 202km pure electric CLTC range and a 1302km combined CLTC range. The vehicle is equipped with dual-chamber air suspension, the “God’s Eye B” driving assistance system, and the “DiSus-A” intelligent air body control system, powered by three electric motors.
Being an annual model update, the 2026 N9 maintains the overall design of the current model with its family styling. Dimensionally, the new vehicle measures 5258/2030/1830mm (length/width/height) with a wheelbase of 3125mm.
Inside, the 2026 N9 offers a new “Golden Mountain Brown” interior colour scheme. The cabin features a 13.2-inch 2.5K LCD instrument panel, a 17.3-inch 2.5K central control screen, and a 13.2-inch 2.5K front passenger screen. Additional premium features include a 50-inch AR-HUD display, a 26-speaker Devialet sound system, and DiLink 150 cockpit technology. Interior colour options include Platinum Grey and Cloud Brocade Rice.
The seating arrangement follows a 2+2+2 six-seat layout, with the front passenger enjoying a zero-gravity “queen seat.” Both front and second-row seats offer heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The second-row seats can move horizontally and come with dual small table boards, dual 50W wireless charging, a 17.3-inch ceiling-mounted screen, and an in-vehicle refrigerator. The third-row seats feature power adjustment and heating functionality.
For driver assistance, the Denza N9 is equipped with the “God’s Eye B” system, providing end-to-end mapless urban navigation assistance. The hardware includes one LiDAR, five millimetre-wave radars covering front and rear-side detection, 12 cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars. The driving assistance computing is powered by Nvidia’s Orin X chip with 254 TOPS of processing power.
In terms of performance, the N9 is powered by a plug-in hybrid system featuring a 2.0T turbocharged engine with 44.13% thermal efficiency, delivering 207 horsepower. The three electric motors provide a total power output of 680 kW (912 hp). The vehicle achieves 0-100 km/h acceleration in 3.9 seconds.
The 2026 Denza N9 also incorporates e3 technology and “DiSus-A” system, featuring three-motor independent drive, rear-wheel dual-motor independent steering (±20°), VMC vehicle motion control, and hybrid CTB battery-body integration. These technologies enable manoeuvrability with a minimum turning radius of 4.65 meters, compass-like turning, automated parking, stability control on low-friction surfaces, high-speed tyre blowout stability control, 15° intelligent crab walking, and rain/snow handling capabilities.
