Geely has updated its Haoyue L in China as competition intensifies in the 10,000 to 15,000 USD fuel-powered SUV segment, where flexible seating layouts and low entry pricing remain major decision factors for family buyers. The revised model, released on November 27, enters the market with four trims priced between 99,900 yuan and 129,900 yuan, equal to 14,120 USD to 18,330 USD. During the launch period, the Haoyue L carries a lower temporary range of 89,900 yuan to 119,900 yuan, which converts to 12,690 USD to 16,930 USD.

The refresh introduces a new 1.5T powertrain positioned below the existing 2.0T engine while keeping the vehicle in the mid-size SUV class. Exterior adjustments include a reshaped polygonal grille, updated bumper design, larger decorative vents, and the continuation of Geely’s straight-vertical grille texture. The model offers four body colours and retains proportions of 4865 mm in length, 1910 mm in width, 1770 mm in height, and a 2825 mm wheelbase. Higher-trim versions feature 20-inch wheels, while other models retain 19-inch wheels.

Interior revisions follow a family-oriented layout with soft-touch materials, a 14.6-inch central touchscreen, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, and the Flyme Auto software suite with smartphone integration and online navigation. Two interior colour choices are available. The upper trims add L2 driver-assistance features, including adaptive cruise functions, collision alerts, lane-keeping aids, and a 540-degree camera system with an under-car view.

One of the major updates is the expanded seating structure. The model now offers five-seat, six-seat, and optional seven-seat layouts. The six-seat configuration features two independent second-row chairs with heating, ventilation, and massage. When the seven-seat option is selected, the third row folds flat, increasing rear storage capacity to 2050 litres.

The new 1.5T engine delivers 133 kW and 290 Nm, while the 2.0T variant produces 160 kW and 325 Nm. Both are paired with a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission and front-wheel drive. Suspension continues with a MacPherson front setup and a multi-link rear system.

The Haoyue family has been part of Geely’s mid-size SUV lineup since 2020. The Haoyue L designation began in 2022 as a more powerful and better-equipped update. The 2026 model continues this approach by adding configuration flexibility and a lower temporary entry price. Competitors in the same segment include the Chery Tiggo 8, Jetour X70 series, Haval H6L and other fuel-powered mid-size SUVs.
