Chery’s Exeed Exlantix MX (ET5) launched with 210 km EV range from 19,070 USD, rivals BYD Song L DM-i
Chery’s premium sub-brand Exeed officially launched the mid-size extended-range SUV Exeed Exlantix MX internationally, marketed in China as the Exeed Exlantix ET5. The model is available in two versions, with trade-in pricing starting at 134,900 yuan (≈ 19,070 USD) and standard prices ranging from 144,900 to 159,900 yuan (≈ 20,500–22,600 USD).
The Exlantix MX is powered by a 1.5‑litre turbocharged petrol engine that functions exclusively as a generator, paired with a rear-mounted electric motor producing 195 kW and 324 N·m of torque. Its 32.66 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery delivers a pure-electric CLTC range of 210 km and a combined range of 1,310 km, making it one of the longest-range EREV SUVs at its price point.
The SUV reflects Exeed’s latest design language, featuring a closed front fascia with shell-style headlights and a full-width LED rear light strip. Its dimensions are 4,780 mm long, 1,890 mm wide, and 1,720 mm high, with a 2,800 mm wheelbase. The high-end trim integrates a rooftop LiDAR module as a visual indicator for advanced driver-assistance capability.
Inside, the cabin employs a three-screen layout: a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, and a 12.3-inch front-passenger display, all powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255 cockpit chip. The interior features Nappa leather and Alcantara, dual-tone finishes, and smartphone connectivity.
The top-tier model features the Falcon 700 advanced driver-assistance system, built on Horizon Robotics’ “Journey 6P” chip and HSD (Horizon SuperDrive) platform. It includes a LiDAR unit, 27 high-precision sensors, radar, and cameras, supporting highway and urban assisted driving, as well as multi-scenario automated parking.
The Exeed Exlantix MX combines an extended-range EREV powertrain, a 32.66 kWh battery, and advanced driver-assistance systems. Its pure-electric range is 210 km, with a combined range of 1,310 km. The vehicle seats five passengers and includes multiple screens and high-precision sensors for assisted driving. Entry rivals in the Chinese mid-size EREV or plug-in SUV segment include the BYD Song L DM-i, Deepal S07, and Leapmotor C11, which utilise either range-extender or plug-in electric vehicle technology.
