Geely Auto has officially introduced the Boyue EREV, a new extended‑range variant of its Boyue SUV series in China. The Boyue platform is sold outside China under the names Starray, Azkarra, and Atlas. The company reported a pure-electric range of 375 km and a comprehensive driving range of 1525 km, positioning the model among the longest‑ranged extended‑range SUVs currently announced in China. Detailed technical specifications were not disclosed in the initial announcement, as reported by IT-home.

The Boyue EREV’s exterior design is similar to Geely’s previous fully electric SUV, the Ruìlán 7, which also offers a battery‑swap variant. While Geely has not published the Boyue EREV’s dimensions, the Ruìlán 7 measures 4690 mm long, 1892 mm wide, 1650 mm tall, with a 2775 mm wheelbase, offering a reference point for the new model’s size.

Geely integrated Ruìlán into its operations following the Taizhou Declaration in March 2025, thereby absorbing the joint venture originally established in 2022 between Lifan Technology and Geely. Ruìlán had been producing vehicles for Geely’s Caocao ride‑hailing platform while also serving the consumer market. The Boyue EREV appears to continue leveraging this platform and technology integration.

Inside, the Boyue EREV adopts a different interior style from the Ruìlán 7, featuring light brown seats and cabin trim, a large floating central touchscreen, and a Flyme Sound audio system. These design choices align with recent Geely trends in new energy vehicles, emphasising digital connectivity and updated cabin aesthetics.

China’s extended‑range SUV market includes competitors such as XPeng’s G7 EREV with up to 1,704 km comprehensive range, Voyah Free EREV around 960 km, and Arcfox Alpha T5 EREV exceeding 1,200 km. Other domestic manufacturers, such as Leapmotor, have also introduced EREV models with ranges exceeding 1,000 km, reflecting growing consumer interest in vehicles capable of long-distance travel with flexible energy sources.

While the Boyue EREV sets out a new range benchmark for its class, full technical details, including battery capacity, generator output, charging performance, acceleration, and weight, remain unreleased. Further disclosures are expected as Geely finalises production preparations and expands marketing. The announcement confirms the vehicle’s declared range and design direction while positioning it in China’s competitive extended‑range SUV segment.
