BYD Song Ultra EV with 362 hp has its interior officially revealed
BYD has officially unveiled the interior of its brand-new mid-size SUV, the Song Ultra EV, on February 25. The electric vehicle is set to offer a “big bed mode,” designed to enhance versatility and cater to a wider range of user scenarios. Previously, market rumors suggested an estimated starting price of around 180,000 yuan (26,050 USD) for the model.
The interior design of the Song Ultra EV features a notably straight dashboard line, complemented by an embedded full LCD instrument cluster and a floating central control screen. The vehicle is equipped with dual wireless phone charging slots, dual cup holders, and a multimedia control knob.
A noticeable feature is the “big bed mode,” made possible by the vehicle’s generous 2840mm wheelbase. This allows the front and rear seats to connect, creating a spacious sleeping area, ideal for various travel and leisure activities.

Drawing from previously released declaration images and official renders, the Song Ultra EV adopts BYD’s dynasty family design language. The front fascia features a closed grille paired with a through-type “star-ring” light strip. At the rear, a through-type taillight cluster and a sizable spoiler contribute to its layered and dynamic appearance. Furthermore, the new model offers an optional LiDAR system, enabling the integration of the God’s Eye B assisted driving system, which supports both urban and highway driving.

In terms of dimensions, the Song Ultra EV measures 4850mm in length, 1910mm in width, and 1670mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2840mm.
Under the hood, the Song Ultra EV is powered by a single electric motor, delivering a maximum output of 270 kW (362 hp) and achieving a top speed of 210km/h. Battery options include two power packs: a 75.616 kWh unit and an 82.732 kWh unit. These provide CLTC pure electric cruising ranges of 620km and 710km, respectively.
