Chery’s Jetour Zongheng G600 teaser: luxury hybrid SUV targets Tank 700 segment
Chery’s off-road sub-brand, Jetour, has released official preview images of the Zongheng G600, a luxury plug-in hybrid SUV. Moving away from the concept first seen at Auto Shanghai 2025, the official “co-creation” campaign marks the transition toward production for the Zongheng series, which Chery positions to cover price points from 400,000 yuan (58,000 USD) up to 1.5 million yuan (217,500 USD).
Visual Overview
The official teasers confirm a silhouette consistent with the Zongheng G700. Key design elements include high-clearance wheel arches, a roof-mounted luggage rack, and a vertical front fascia featuring C-shaped LED lighting. While the earlier prototype showcased digital side mirrors and hidden door handles, the production unit is expected to balance these features with hardware required for its off-road function.
Market Context
The Jetour Zongheng G600 enters the full-size luxury off-road segment, characterised by a focus on advanced hybrid technology, high ground clearance, rugged design cues, and premium interior materials often aimed at both urban and overland enthusiasts. This places it in direct competition with the GWM Tank 700 Hi4-T, which launched with a starting price of 428,000 yuan (62,050 USD). Jetour’s global sales reached 622,590 units in 2025, laying the foundation for the brand’s shift into the premium market.

- Engine: Predicted 2.0-litre turbocharged hybrid-specific engine (45.5% thermal efficiency).
- The transmission is expected to be a 2-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT).
- The architecture will likely involve an 800V silicon carbide platform that supports high-speed power output.
Predicted Battery & Range
The G600 is anticipated to feature 800V 4C charging technology, with the brand targeting a range recovery of 400 km in 6 minutes. While battery capacity is unconfirmed, the series typically employs CATL LFP packs. The G600 is expected to offer a 1,400 km (CLTC) combined range, matching its stablemates.
Market Positioning
The Zongheng G600 is a core part of Jetour’s “Travel+” 3.0 strategy. Production will take place at Chery’s dedicated off-road plants, supporting the brand’s goal of reaching 1 million annual units by the end of 2026. Cumulative global sales for the Jetour brand surpassed 2.15 million units in early 2026.
