New spy shots indicate Fiat will bring back the Dodge Journey to China. The 2009 Dodge Journey, called JCUV in China, was sold as an import on the Chinese market and Fiat recently launched the Fiat Freemont in China, which is basically a rebadged 2011 Dodge Journey. Fiat so will sell two identical cars under different brands, likely because the Dodge-name is still stronger than Fiat in China.

Badge on steering wheel betrays this is a Dodge. The Fiat Freemont is only available with the 173hp 2.4, but according to Chinese media the Dodge Journey/JCUV will also be available with the 283hp 3.6 V6. The 2011 Journey will be imported, just like the Freemont. The 2009 Dodge Journey/JCUV was only available with the old 2.7 L6, that engine will not come back. Price yet unknown, the Freemont starts at 249.800 yuan, the Journey won’t be far off.
