A very white Mercedes-Benz G500 seen by reader Ali Khalili (thank you!) in da streets of the capital Beijing. The monstrous tractor is a very popular car among China’s wealthy, not a day goes by without seeing at least one G55 AMG. This short G500 is a more civilized car, without the ugly spoilers and it is actually capable of going up mountain.

The G500 will do those mountains fast! It ain’t no AMG but power is still very decent, the 5.0 V8 poops out 296hp and 456nm. The G-class is imported into China, comes with big engines only, and therefore very expensive. Price starts at 1.3 million and ends at 1.78 million. The SWB is available only on special order since 99% of buyers goes for the 5-door AMG models.
