Spy Shots: Great Wall Haval H6 goes super chrome in China

The first spy shots from the facelifted Great Wall Haval H6 SUV. Good news!, the facelifted included a new giant chromed grille, chrome parts around the fog lights, extra chrome around the windows and best of all: a newly designed roof rack with again more chrome.

The current Great Wall Haval H6. Price starts at 85.800 yuan and ends at 151.800 yuan. Engines: 150hp 1.5 turbo, 163hp 2.4, and a 150hp 2.0 turbodiesel, the latter mainly for export. All engines will continue and price will be about the same.

Roof rails sorta integrated in roof design, very interesting. Chrome strips around the windows thicker than before.

A surprise here. The Hover-name is back on the car. The Chinese name for the series is ‘Haifu’, this was translated as ‘Hover’ until 2010 when Great Wall changed the name to ‘Haval’. Main reason was export, Great Wall found out the Hover-name was already taken in many other countries.  In August last year we heard Great Wall had plans to build the ‘Haval’ name into a separate brand. Why Hover suddenly returns on the H6 is unclear for now.
