Spy Shots: Lifan 720 will get a 1.5 in China

Spy shots showing the Lifan 720 testing in China with a new 1.5 liter engine. The Lifan 720 1.5 will debut on the Guangzhou Auto Show in November and it will be launched on the China car market in early December. The 1.5 liter four-cylinder has an output of 109hp and is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

The Lifan 720 hit the Chinese auto market in November last year. Price starts at 66.800 yuan and ends at 79.800 yuan. Lone engine is a 1.8 with 133hp, mated to a 5-speed manual. The new 1.5 will bring price down to about 60.000 yuan. Lifan is also working on an automatic gearbox for the 720, but it will only go with the 1.8.
