A Verso but not in name. Guangzhou-Toyota decided to go for something different: E’Z Yizhe. ‘Yizhi’ means ‘deliver leisure’ in Chinese. E’Z, with the ‘, means nothing. And it is another kind of car as well, not a mini suv or a crosswhatever. No no, it is a FUV.  So, what the f**k means FUV? It means ‘Fashionable Utility Vehicle’. Indeed.

Guangzhou-Toyota decided to unveil the E’Z a day before the start of the Guangzhou Auto Show, they were scared otherwise nobody would have noticed. They are right about the car, nobody would have, but that name…

Engines! No fuvving hybrids here. Fuv, they don’t sell. Old fashioned fuvving patrols, 1.4 and 1.6, mated to a manual, an auto or a CVT. Price starts around 150.000 yuan, to be listed in the first half of 2010. That is the E’Z Yizhi FUV, don’t fuvving forget.
