Spy Shots: China-made Audi A3 sedan and Volkswagen Golf 7 are Ready for the Chinese auto market
The China-made Audi A3 sedan and Volkswagen Golf 7, seen standing side by side on a parking lot. Both cars will debut on the Guangzhou Auto Show later this month. The A3 will be launched on the China car market in mid 2014, the Golf just before the end of this year. The Audi A3 and Volkswagen Golf are made in China by the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture.
The China-made Volkswagen Golf 7 will be available with a 105hp 1.6, a 131hp 1.4 TSI, a 150hp variant of the 1.4 TSI, and with a 220hp 2.0 TSI for the Volkswagen Golf GTI. Price will range from around 115.000 yuan to 230.000 yuan. The 290hp Volkswagen Golf R will be imported into China.
The China-made Audi A3 sedan will be available with1.4 TFSI and 1.8 TFSI engines. Price A3 sedan will start around 200.000 yuan. The Audi A3 Sportback will be made in China as well, production will start late this year.
