The facelifted Mercedes-Benz C-Class L will debut next week on the Shanghai Auto Show. The C-Class L is a stretched variant of the C-Class for the Chinese car market.  At the same time, Mercedes-Benz will also launch the China-made version of the normal ‘SWB’ version of the C-Class, which is currently only available as an expensive import. To differentiate the two Chinese C’ees the L gets a shiny new ornament on the C-pillar.

The current Mercedes-Benz C-Class L, manufactured in China by the Beijing-Benz joint venture. Price starts at 329.000 yuan and ends at 420.000 yuan. Engines: C200 180hp 2.0 turbo and the C260 207hp 2.0 turbo. For the facelifted C-L and ‘new’ SWB the range will be extended with the C300, which has a 245hp version of the same 2.0 turbo under the bonnet.
