The MG Concept 5 debuted at the Shanghai Auto Show to preview the upcoming MG5. The sleek hatchback will hit the Chinese auto market in June 2012. The MG5 is based on the Roewe 350 and will get two engines: a 1.5 and a 1.5 turbo. Price will start around 90.000 yuan and end around 130.000 yuan.

Demand is high already, according to MG the phone is red hot with customers asking whether they can make a deposit for the MG5. They can’t. If true, and who would doubt MG?, this is a special thing because Chinese car buyers ususally demand to take their new wheels right away home from the showroom.
