Honda brings the Acura MDX to China. It is imported and comes with a huge price: from 900.000 to 940.000 yuan. Ouch!, for a Honda. The MDX will compete with the Benz M, BMW X5/X6, Audi Q7 and the Range Rovers. One engine: 3.7 V6 with 309hp and 370nm.

The expensive-suv segment is still booming in China so Honda might sell some. But all the competition has V8’s on offer and rich Chinese customers all like the biggest engine they can get. Honda, for some unknown reasons, simply refuses to make a V8. No doubt they can do it, they just don’t want. That might be fine for the US today but it ain’t for China.
