The new Brilliance 530 sedan has been delayed to August, Brilliance said earlier the 530 would be listed on June 8 but nothing happened. We see a lot of delays lately, it might have something to do with the part crisis in Japan where much of the high tech for Chinese cars still comes from.

The Brilliance 530 debuted as a ‘concept’ at the Shanghai Auto Show in April. When finally listed the price will start around 120.000 yuan. The 530 will be powered by a Mitsubishi 1.6 with 118hp and 151nm, mated to a 5-speed manual 0r 5-speed automatic. Brilliance is working on its own 1.5 turbo but that sweetheart won’t be available at launch.
