New spy shots from the upcoming Chery Riich X3 SUV, this time testing somewhere high up in the mountains. The Riich X3 has been under development for some three years, Chery taking its time again. There will also be a ‘Cowin SUV‘, basically the same car as the Riich X3 and the platform will underpin the new Chery Tiggo.

Engines: 1.6 or 1.8. Chery is considering a 2.0 and the supercharged 1.6S. Transmission:  5-speed manual or CVT.  Chinese media reports today the Riich X3 will finally hit the Chinese car market in ‘2013’. without being anymore specific. Price will start around 110.000 yuan.
