The Chang’an Raeton will be officially launched on the Chinese auto market in March. Dealers however have started taking reservations so we know the price, which starts at 135.400 yuan and ends at 169.800 yuan. The Raeton, Rui Cheng in Chinese, debuted on the Beijing Auto Show in April.
The Chang’an Raeton will compete with the cheaper variants of fine cars such as the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry and Volkswagen Magotan.Power comes from a 1.8 turbo that poops out 175hp and 230nm or a 2.0 with 152hp and 192nm. The 1.8 turbo is mated to a six-speed tiptronic transmission, the 2.0 to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic. Size: 4920/1825/1500, wheelbase is 2800.
Interior loox very good. Well-put together and the plastics are not too cheap. Fake wood and chrome mix nicely together for the rich-feeling. But!, there ain’t no screen in this vehicle and that is bad, Chinese auto makers equip 50.000 yuan cars with large screens these days, but Chang’an seems to miss out on this trend, which might put off buyers.
No screen, but a good looking car.

Very nice looking car, and it also looks expensive and desirable.
Would be very interested to hear what it’s like to drive.
