New spy shots showing the Skoda Rapid Spaceback testing in China. The Skoda Rapid Spaceback debuted internationally on the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, debut in China is scheduled for the Guangzhou Auto Show in late November, and it will be launched on the China car market in early 2014.

The Skoda Rapid Spaceback is based on the Skoda Rapid sedan, made in China by the Shanghai-Volkswagen joint venture that also makes the sedan and the identical Volkswagen Santana sedan, which will spawn a hatchback too. Power for the Spaceback will come from a 89hp 1.4 and a 109hp 1.6. Price will start around 85.000 yuan.
