The facelift is fast-coming, the current JAC Eagle S5 was only launched in March. Design of the front was criticized a lot, especially the black part of the bumpers that seems to ‘look’ very sad. JAC listened and changed the thing. Price of the current Eagle S5 starts at 78.800 yuan and ends at 135.800 yuan. Engines: a 1.8 liter turbo with 163hp and 253nm, mated to a six-speed manual, and a naturally aspirated 2.0 with 136hp and 180nm, mated to a 5-speed manual.

The engines will continue in the facelifted JAC S5 and they will be joined by a brand new 1.5 turbo with 160hp, mated to an equally new 6-speed DCT. The new engine will eventually replace the older 1.8 turbo. Price of the 1.5 turbo will start around 100.000 yuan.
