Besturn, a Chinese car brand under First Auto Works (FAW), will launch two new SUV’s on the China auto market by 2018, bringing the brand’s total SUV count to three. The new SUV’s will be positioned below and above the current Besturn X80 SUV.
First up is the Besturn X70, an A0-class SUV that will debut in late 2015. The X70 will be based on the same platform as the new FAW Junpai D60 (T102) and powered by 1.5 and 1.8 liter petrol engines. The Besturn X90 is a B-class SUV that will debut in 2016. It will be based on the same platform as the FAW Besturn B90, and powered by turbocharged 1.8 and 2.0 petrol engines.
FAW also announced that the recently launched new Besturn B70 will spawn a plug-in hybrid.
