The Lifan X50 SUV has been launched on the Chinese car market, giving the Lifan brand a credible entry in the booming small-SUV segment. Price starts at 59.800 yuan and ends at 82.800 yuan, competing head-to-head with cars such as the JAC Refine S3 and the new Haval H1.
Neat interior with hipster red dials and some alu detailing, but otherwise very black.
Roof rack on the small side. The Lifan X50 is based on the same platform as the Lifan 530 sedan. Power: a 93hp 1.3 or a 102hp 1.5, both mated to a five-speed manual or a CVT. Size: 4100/1722/1540mm, wheelbase is 2550mm.
Skid pad is great for mountaineering but the exhaust pipes hangs around in nowhere land. Still, a fine looking car and probably the best looking Lifan so far. It is all reasonable original as well, showing Lifan is moving away from its worst cloning days (unlike Yema).
Grille very subtle for China. LED thingies in bumper very good.
