The new JAC iEV6E will hit the Chinese car market in September, featuring blue detailing in the bumpers. The iEV6E debuted in April on the Beijing Auto Show. It is an electric compact hatchback primarily intended for the cities. Price including subsidies will start around 90.000 yuan.

The interior too has some blue details, but it is otherwise not very colorful. Touch screen is on the small side. Rectangles on dash are very hip.

The JAC iEV6E, great name, easy to remember, easy to pronounce in English and in Chinese, really, is powered by an electric motor with 61hp and 175nm. Range is 152 kilometer, which is a bit short for late 2016, most other EVs in this segment offer 200 kilometers now. Top speed is 102 km/h.

More blue at the back, but the blue of the fuel cap is of a darker kind.

Nice looking car with a nice interior for a booming segment of the market. It has enough power but range is a tad too short.
