Qilu is a new EV maker established on 1st September 2020, when they announced they would produce a small electric car. They also revealed a sketch of the new car design, which we can now compare with the production version.
Interesting about Qilu is that it is fully owned by the provincial government (Shandong province), unlike other Chinese makers where the local government usually owns just a minority of shares. The total investment is supposed to be 5 billion CNY (800 million USD).
Car was reportedly co-developed with Chery, which is quite obvious from the design, which is pretty similar to Chery Eq1.
Qilu will start selling its first vehicle in September this year.
