The Chery sedan, codenamed M1E, was caught in spy shots. Weibo profile Ou Pao Pao made render images based on these shots. Some Chinese media believe this model is the new generation Arrizo 7 or Arrizo 8. It will be unveiled at Beijing Auto Show and launched in the second quarter. By the way, the Beijing Auto Show was postponed to June, so it isn’t sure how Chery will manage this issue.
In the pictures in camouflage, we can see exterior features like a frameless radiator grille, a narrow headlight profile, and a sloping roofline. The profile of the Chery M1E was spied without a part of the camouflage. We see this vehicle’s tail lights are combined into one block in this shot.
The interior of the sedan was also spied in the photo. It strongly reminded the Chery Omoda 5 compact SUV. This sedan’s instrument panel and center screen are integrated into one block. The center tunnel of the Chery M1E got a monostable gear selector, parking and Auto Hold buttons, two cup holders, and a drive mode selector. There is also the storage that looks like a wireless charging pad. The sedan’s door cards have individual seat adjustments. And the door handle is strange and old-fashioned. Another feature of the M1E is a D-shaped sporty steering wheel.
According to Chinese media, there are two engines under the hood of the Chery M1E. The first with a capacity of 1.5 liters, combined with a CVT. Most likely, this is a representative of the SQRE4T15 series. In China, its output is 156 hp. The second engine is a 1.6-liter SQRF4J16. In China, this ICE produces 197 hp. It is combined with a 7DCT from Getrag. The price of M1E will be 100,000-150,000 RMB (15,700-23,560 USD).

Ou Pao Pao made render images of Chery M1E. The model looks very similar to the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro in these pictures. Even more similar to Tiggo 8 Pro, Ou Pao Pao insist that the name of the M1E is Arrizo 8.
