On April 26, Geely officially launched its new compact SUV called Boyue Cool. Four models were launched with a price range of 102,800 – 125,800 RMB (14,800 – 18,100 USD). As a new car under Geely’s Boyue (博越) series, Boyue Cool specifically targets the younger consumer group.
Positioned as a compact SUV, Geely Boyue Cool has dimensions of 4510/1865/1650mm and a 2701mm wheelbase. Additionally, the interior has 39 storage spaces throughout the car and a trunk volume of 571L. Customers can choose from four exterior colors in white, blue, green, and gray, as well as two interior colors in gray and beige.
In terms of appearance, the car adopts Geely’s “Starburst Vision” design language, giving it an angular shape and sharp lines. From the side, the window frames, wheel eyebrows, and side skirts all have been blackened.
The front face is equipped with a large angular grille decorated with a three-dimensional matrix black grid design. The headlights are sharp. The penetrating LED daytime running lights can also be lit up together with the brand logo.
The sporty rear has a sharp high-mounted brake light and dual exhaust outlets on each side. Additionally, the taillights are composed of 258 LED lamp beads.
The interior is simple with a 10.25-inch full LCD digital instrument panel and a 13.2-inch 2K digital central control screen with a built-in Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip and Geely’s Galaxy OS Air Smart Car System. It supports voice interaction, remote control, and a level 2 driving assistance system including intelligent cruise control, autonomous emergency braking pedestrian, and emergency lane-keeping.
Future OTA updates will support functions such as facial recognition to start the engine and automatically adjust the seat position and configurations.
Lastly, power comes from a 1.5TD four-cylinder direct-injection engine with a maximum power of 133kW and a peak torque of 290 Nm, mated to a 7-speed DCT. Its official 0 – 100 km/h acceleration time is 7.9 seconds and WLTC fuel consumption is 6.29L/100km.
