Baojun Yunduo interior

As we can see in pictures, the main feature of the Baojun Yunduo is its seats. According to Baojun, they are inspired by the Italian Bubble sofa. They adopt hand-cutting technology and comprise 36 pieces. Company officials mentioned that they improve seats comfort. In our point of view, Baojun also wanted to use the old-school style of seats because it is the growing trend in China. Of course, its seats look nice. But we aren’t sure if they are really comfortable since they haven’t got any side support or pronounced shape. They are just flat seats. At least they can be adjusted electrically.

On the other hand, the second row of seats has a cool feature. Its back can be inclined, enhancing the passenger’s comfort. Moreover, the front seats can be folded, forming two beds. Here, we can also underline the door card design with hidden handles, round shapes and different materials. There is quite a lot of space for the passengers. Moreover, the Yunduo has a panoramic roof.

Now, let’s move to the center console of the Yunduo. It has a large floating screen and the LCD panel behind the steering wheel. The center tunnel of the Yunduo is equipped with a wireless charging pad, two cup holders, an armrest. Under the center tunnel, there is a spacious compartment. We can also highlight wooden trim that is actually made of plastic. It goes all over the center tunnel and the center console.

Baojun Yunduo details

Baojun positions Yunduo as an MPV. But in fact, it is closer to a hatchback. It has an unusual exterior design that reminds us of the Fiat Multipla. As for the dimensions of the Yunduo, they are 4295/1850/1652 mm with a wheelbase of 2700 mm. So, it is 5 mm longer, 80 mm wider and 82 mm higher than the BYD Dolphin.

It is powered with an electric motor on the front axle that generates 100 kW (136 hp). As for the battery, it is manufactured by Liuzhou Huating New Energy Technology, one of the main suppliers of the SGMW, with the battery production capacity of 25,000 units per month. The Yunduo’s range reaches 400 km on a single charge. Its starting price reaches 100,000 yuan (13,800 USD). It will hit the Chinese market in August 2023.
