The Lynk & Co 08 fastback SUV has hit the Meizu store in China before the official launch. At the moment, it is just being displayed there. But after the launch, its sales will also start at the Meizu stores. The main reason for it is the Lynk & Co 08 is equipped with the FlymeAuto system on board that supports simple interface and split-screen operation. Moreover, Meizu stores will become an important part of the Lynk & Co sales network.

Here, we will remind you that Geely acquired Meizu in July last year since it was suffering from some financial difficulties because of the extreme competition with some industry giants like Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo and Vivo. So, Meizu was in danger of suspending its business. But Geely gave it a hand. Together with Meizu, Geely develops the in-car system that can work jointly with the Meizu phone. The first car to get it is the Lynk & Co 08.

Now, we can see that the Lynk & Co 08 has entered the Meizu store in China. Keeping in mind that it has software from Meizu on board, this move is highly understandable. On the one hand, Lynk & Co can broaden its sales network, following the AITO sales model that is tightly connected to Huawei flagship stores. On the other hand, the Lynk & Co cars can attract a lot of visitors to the Meizu stores, where potential buyers can also get acquainted with phones and other gadgets. So, its sales number will be boosted.

Speaking about the Lynk & Co 08 that is being displayed in Meizu stores, it is the plug-in hybrid EM-P version that is colored in the press-color. Moreover, according to rumors from the site, the starting price of the Lynk & Co 08 will be about of 240,000 yuan (33,450 USD). It is way cheaper than the Denza N7 that is presumably one of its top competitors. However, this information wasn’t confirmed by the officials, so we should wait till the official launch event.

We will remind you that the Lynk & Co 08 got the production green light in June 2023. It is a midsize fastback SUV with a signature Lynk & Co styling. Its dimensions are 4820/1915/1685 mm with a wheelbase of 2848 mm. As for the powertrain, it comprises a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder ICE for 156 hp. It works with two electric motors and a 3-speed DHT gearbox. The total power output of the Lynk & Co 08 reaches 536 hp. It is a plug-in hybrid, so it has a 39.6-kWh ternary (NMC) battery pack for 245 km of electric range (CLTC). As for the mixed range, it is over 1,400 km. With a starting price of 240,000 yuan, the 08 can be a tough competitor for almost every mid-size SUV on the market.
