The battery packs are produced by CALB and Juwan Technology Research, offering three options: a 92 kWh ternary lithium battery pack, a 95.16 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, and a 114.19 kWh ternary lithium battery pack; providing 620 km and 762 km of pure electric cruising ranges. The car’s 800V high-voltage fast charging platform can achieve 200 km of battery life with 5 minutes of charging, according to Hycan. The official fast charging rate is 1 km per second.

As an MPV, Hycan V09 has a 2+2+3 seven-seater layout. The cockpit adopts a triple-screen design consisting of a 10.25-inch instrument panel, a 14.6-inch central control screen, and a 12.3-inch co-pilot entertainment screen. An on-board refrigerator is also present. Other configurations include two wireless charging panels and an in-car audio system composed of 22 speakers.

There is a 17.3-inch screen that hangs from the ceiling for the rear seat passengers.

Hycan V09 offers three interior color themes: black orange, light jade, and obsidian black. The official claims that the second-row seats are aviation-grade zero-gravity seats with legrests and headrests, and support heating, ventilation, and massage.

Another highlight is that after the third-row seats are folded down, they can be integrated with the floor space to form a flat surface and 1.8-meter-long space.

More competition

The MPV market in China is heating up with new players entering regularly. Hycan V09 will compete directly with MPV models such as the BYD Denza D9, GAC Trumpchi E9, and Geely Zeekr 009. Take the Denza D9 for example, more than 10,000 units have been sold monthly for six consecutive months after its launch in May 2022.

  1. 1 km/s means 300 km in 5 minutes (5 * 60 = 300).

“The car’s 800V high-voltage fast charging platform can achieve 200 km of battery life with 5 minutes of charging. The official fast charging rate is 1 km per second.”

Maybe in China 40 seconds = 1 minute? China, soo fast …

    • I think there are kW in the article:

“The motor outputs 202 kW and 335 Nm.”
