We now have a far clearer idea of what the first all-electric car from Lynk & Co will look like thanks to new spy shots of the car undertaking winter testing. Believed to be called the Lynk & Co Zero the car has the internal name E371 and will unveil in Gothenburg, Sweden next month before officially launching around the middle of the year. Based on the same platform as the Zeekr 001 it is the first all-electric car from Lynk & Co and only the brand’s third sedan. Lynk & Co will also release a second all-electric car possibly later this year which will be an SUV based on the same platform as the Zeekr X.

With the spy shots showing the car emblazoned with Zero stickers we can now be pretty certain that the new Lynk & Co will be called Zero. The design adopts many of the aesthetic elements first seen on the The New Day concept and in many ways represents a production version of that car. It also clearly follows on from the 07 EM-P and 08 EM-P models adopting the same h shaped lights. There’s also a light strip composed of 26 LED light sources.

At over 5 meters long and with a wheelbase of 3 meters the Zero is the largest Lynk & Co sedan to date and will be the flagship saloon. We can see the overall shape of the front is relatively rounded while the sides are quite smooth indicating a low drag coefficient. It uses a multi-layered rear end to make the car look lower. Hidden door handles and the fastback design make the Zero look sporty.

The spy shots show at least two different cars and we can see that one of them has roof mounted Lidar whereas the other does not. We know that the Zero will incorporate technologies including rear-wheel steering, CDC electromagnetic suspension, dual-chamber air suspension, AI digital chassis and 800V technology. It is likely that that Zero will compete fiercely with the Xiaomi SU7. Prices are likely between 200,000 and 300,000 yuan (27,800 to 41,700 USD).

Lynk & Co is a brand jointly developed by Geely and Volvo and founded in 2016. Initially they only sold ICE cars but quite quickly introduced PHEVs. Until recently they have largely been known for SUVs with just a sole sedan, the 03, which has now been joined by the 07 EM-P.

  1. Geely’s 100% EV; Polestar has gone broke. Shares are less than 1 dollar on NYSE. And now they adapt Lynk&Co to be 100% electric. It’s seems like a strange move. What’s the difference between the two brands? And they also got Zeekr, which is “half” Lynk&Co too, when it come to design.

Does anyone understand this brand philosophy?

    • Geely is far from all electric. Agreed the company has big problems when it comes to differentiation between its different brands and units.

Around 15 years back Geely created three different brands Emgrand, Englon and one other that was even more forgettable. This was a failure and they got rid of them as there was little difference between the three. Unfortunately Geely seems to have forgotten the lesson and is repeating the same mistake on steroids.
