On April 9th, Geely released the official images of the Go Kart Edition of its Panda Mini EV. The brand claims that its design is inspired by go-karts, as suggested by the name, to further target the young consumer base.

According to Geely, the cumulative sales of the Geely Panda series since its launch have exceeded 130,000 units, which include the Little Yellow Duck Limited Edition, Panda Knight, and Dragon Edition. Geely has not disclosed the price range of the Go Kart Edition at this time. For reference, the current price of the Panda series ranges from 29,900 – 56,900 yuan (4,100 – 8,200 USD).

The Go Kart Edition is based on the original Panda Mini, with a square design, four-seater layout, and black paint as the base coupled with purple contrasting trim strips. At the same time, the rims adopt a contrasting combination of purple and white. Two more exterior colors are also available in white and gray. Positioned as a mini EV, the new car measures 3150/1540/1685 mm, and the wheelbase is 2015 mm.

Furthermore, the rear features a top tail wing, similar to a go-kart, adding a sporty atmosphere.

The power continues to come from a rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor that outputs 30 kW and 110 Nm. It supports two driving modes: normal and sport. At this time, the battery specification has not been revealed. Under DC fast charging, it takes 30 minutes to replenish the battery from 30% to 80%. AC slow charging is also supported.

The interior remains largely unchanged with an 8-inch central control screen, a 9.2-inch LCD instrument panel, and a D-shape steering wheel. The central control screen supports wireless connection, voice control, navigation, and multimedia entertainment. Remote control via smartphone application is also supported, which can remotely open and lock the vehicle as well as air conditioning control.
